Meet the Co-founders of The Knitty Kitty. A mother daughter duo with big dreams
Amelia Basile
Amelia started "Crochet By Mia" at 14 and grew her business online and through vender events. She has been crocheting since 2017. Amelia battles with a chronic illness that made vender markets fatiguing and decided she wanted to a have a bigger purpose that could be fulfilled with her disability. After being unable to work traditional jobs, Amelia brought her business to the next step merging her love for cats and crocheting. Amelia is currently a studying sustainability and carries strong environmental consciousness through The Knitty Kitty.
Sally Basile
Sally has supported Amelia's small business since the beginning and supports her through her "big business". Sally has had a passion for cats and has fostered a number of cats and has many personal cats at home. She even raised 2 feral cats to be comfortable within our house instead of living their life outside. She thrives with the purpose of helping cats find their true personality and families meant to be.
